23-year old Sandile Shezi who touts himself as South Africa's youngest millionaire has been arrested by police.
Gauteng police spokesperson Mavela Masondo said Shezi handed himsef over in the presence of his lawyers on Wednesday.
They have since charged him with fraud, an accusation he has denied.
"I can confirm that we [police] have arrested him. He will appear before a Randburg magistrate court tomorrow [Thursday] on charges of fraud," the spokesperson said.
Shezi, a native of Durban, faces charges of allegedly defrauding his business partner and shareholder for his business Global Forex Institute [GFI] out of R500,000 (approximately $34,264).
The police had issued a warrant of arrest earlier this month for Shezi, who reportedly is the country's "youngest millionaire."
