Kenyan police have arrested Jomaisi Khalisia, 33, described as a “serial killer,” suspected of murdering nine women found mutilated in a disused quarry in Nairobi.
Khalisia confessed to killing 42 women since 2022, including his wife. Arrested at a bar during the Euro final, he led police to his house, where evidence such as phones, identity cards, and a machete were found.
The victims, aged 18 to 30, were killed similarly. Police are investigating his motive and another suspect.
Kenya's police watchdog is probing potential police involvement due to the dumpsite's proximity to a police station. Following related protests, Kenya's police chief resigned.
