After earning his doctorate in religious studies, he founded the Advocacy For Alleged Witches to combat this superstition-driven violence.

Igwe has documented instances of pastors targeting alleged witches in services that incite fear.

His organization intervened to help a man named Jude, who was attacked after being falsely accused of witchcraft.

Igwe's group provides financial and social support to victims and advocates against witch-hunting rhetoric in churches, which can escalate violence.

Despite facing personal risks, Igwe remains committed to fighting these dangerous beliefs, stating, "I have to step forward and try to provide leadership."
