Confirming his participation, Damien Smith noted that preparations are already underway for the completion. He praised his manager, Robert Coleman for the efforts and investment he has made in him.
“First of all I want to thank my boss, Robert Coleman for managing me from day one. From there, we started working things out, getting everything prepared and to be able to win it twice. I’m planning to fly to SA to compete in the Africa Strongest. We are also working on having one artificial turf in each constituency”, he said.
His manager, Robert Coleman who described Smith as a childhood friend expressed optimism that he will excel in the tournament.
“Shaka has been a childhood friend. We all hail from the New Town area and I’m exceedingly happy to be managing him now. He is exceedingly discipline and he makes sure that at anytime, the right thing is done. So I’m excited that he has been able to win the Ghana Most Strongest competition for the second time. As he rightly said we have plans to compete internationally and I’m optimistic that when he gets to South Africa, he’s going to raise the flag of Ghana high and he will excel, he concluded.
