Aviation sector enhances investigative capabilities

Ghana’s aviation sector is advancing safety standards with a groundbreaking workshop in Accra focused on aircraft accident investigation.

Organized by the Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation and Prevention Bureau (AIB Ghana) in partnership with Cranfield University’s Safety and Accident Investigation Centre, this program is the first of its kind in West Africa.

AIB Ghana Commissioner Akwasi Agyeibi Prempeh emphasized its importance for building regional investigative skills.

Led by Cranfield experts, the week-long training combines online and in-person sessions, reducing costs typically associated with overseas training.

Participants from various aviation organizations are engaging in collaborative projects, aiming to enhance investigative capabilities, foster safety, and promote cross-border collaboration.

Graduates will receive a certificate from Cranfield University, reinforcing their commitment to aviation safety.
