From the infusion of recycled waste to creating furniture products, leather bags, electronic equipment and more, young entrepreneurs and creatives in Ghana are now leaning towards recycling production for cleaner energy.
Robert Nsoh, who is the Chief Executive Officer of E-Cycle Ghana is one of many who have adopted recycling waste for engineering purposes.
Nsoh has developed unique battery packs which provide 24/7 power supply meant for households and communities.
Sharing his journey on BizTech, the young engineer recounted how he used to, as a young child, dismantle toys and gadgets to understand how they were assembled.
He also shared how he impacted his self-taught knowledge to his team to help develop and assemble the battery packs which came from scrap parts.
"I was a very curious child growing up and any gadget or toy I had, I would find ways to dismantle it to see how the parts are built and gradually all through secondary school, I learnt on my own how to assemble electronic gadgets and equipment."
"The birth of E-Cycle Ghana over the years followed through when we began looking for scrap parts which have been recycled to develop the battery packs." Robert Nsoh said.
"Our aim is to enhance green energy solutions and reduce power consumption and energy emissions," he added.
