Businesses face high interest rates and operational costs, making it difficult to compete internationally.
Bonsu highlighted challenges within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), where local businesses are disadvantaged compared to international players benefiting from tax exemptions.
The debt restructuring has led to job losses, reduced productivity, and diminished business income. Despite efforts, the private sector has yet to recover from the economic impact fully.
