Huawei Technologies announced the start of pre-orders for its Mate 70 smartphone, including two Pro versions, through its official WeChat account and online store. While pricing details are not yet disclosed, the company plans to unveil its latest Mate lineup at an event on November 26, 2024.
The Mate 70 series continues Huawei’s comeback in the premium 5G smartphone market, following the success of the Mate 60 phones launched last year. These phones, featuring domestically-produced semiconductors, symbolize a significant achievement amid U.S. sanctions that have restricted Huawei’s access to advanced American chips and technology since 2019.
Huawei's recent advancements have been widely celebrated in China as a demonstration of resilience and innovation, marking a notable step in overcoming external trade and technological barriers.
