The future of banking will hinge on financial literacy, ethics, risk management, artificial intelligence (AI), and climate finance, says Robert Dzato, CEO of the Chartered Institute of Bankers Ghana (CIB Ghana). These areas are critical for fostering resilience and innovation in the financial sector.

As part of its 2024 Bankers’ Week, CIB Ghana has launched financial literacy initiatives, an ESG certification program, and partnered with key organizations like IFC and EPA Ghana.

Highlighting these efforts is the 28th National Banking and Ethics Conference on November 21, 2024, themed “Resilience in the Financial Services Sector: Navigating Horizon Risk.”

Key speakers include BoG Governor Dr. Ernest Addison and GCB Bank MD Kofi Adomakoh.

The conference will feature panels on policy shifts, risk management, digital transformation, and sustainable banking, aimed at equipping stakeholders to address emerging challenges.

It precedes the annual Governance Day on December 21, focusing on sector performance and leadership development.
