GIHOC Distilleries Company Limited has dismissed claims that the Aboso Glass Factory in Tarkwa was sold for GH₵8 million.
Managing Director Kofi Jumah clarified that GIHOC, which assumed control of the factory in 2019, has no plans to sell the facility.
Instead, efforts are underway to revitalize the dormant plant, with operations expected to restart by 2025.
In an interview with Citi Business News, Jumah labeled the sale rumors as baseless and urged the public to disregard them.
He reaffirmed GIHOC’s dedication to enhancing the factory’s infrastructure and capacity, emphasizing the significant resources and time invested in the project.
The Aboso Glass Factory remains a crucial industrial asset, and its revival aims to strengthen Ghana’s industrial sector.
