IIP release: Industry sector grows by 8.2 percent in Q2 of 2024
The Index of Industrial Production (IIP) for Q2 2024 grew by 8.2% year-on-year, reflecting increased production in the industry sector compared to Q2 2023. The Manufacturing sub-sector grew by 8.3%, with the highest growth in transport equipment (20.9%).

The Manufacturing sub-sector grew by 8.3%, with the highest growth in transport equipment (20.9%). Mining and quarrying rose by 9.2%, while Electricity and Gas declined by 1.4%. Water Supply, Sewage, and Waste Management grew by 1.2%. Quarter-on-quarter, industrial production increased by 0.3%, with manufacturing growing by 0.7%, while Electricity and Gas decreased by 4.3%. Water Supply and Waste Management saw a 2.8% increase.
