An International Monetary Fund (IMF) team, led by Mission Chief Stéphane Roudet, has reached a Staff-Level Agreement with Ghana on the third review of the Extended Credit Facility (ECF).
The agreement, subject to IMF approval, would unlock SDR 269.1 million (about US$360 million), bringing total disbursements to SDR 1.441 billion since May 2023.
The review praised Ghana's economic progress, including strong fiscal performance, declining inflation, and growth in mining, construction, and ICT sectors.
Discussions focused on energy sector reforms, revenue collection, social protection programs, and debt restructuring, with Eurobond exchanges set to proceed soon.
