The World Bank's October 2024 Africa Pulse Report projects Ghana's inflation to drop to 23.2% by the end of 2024 and further decline to 11.5% in 2025, easing interest rates and borrowing costs.
Inflation in Sub-Saharan Africa is expected to decrease from 7.1% in 2023 to 4.8% in 2024 and 4.6% by 2025–26, driven by stable commodity prices, supply chain improvements, and tighter fiscal policies.
About 70% of the region's countries will experience lower inflation in 2024, rising to 80% in 2025, though inflation rates remain above pre-pandemic levels in many nations.
