Locked-up funds: First tranche of GHS 700m to be disbursed by end of month

Customers affected by locked-up funds will soon receive payments from the government's GHS 1.5 billion bailout package, with the first tranche of GHS 700 million expected by the end of September.

GCB Capital has finalized payment terms, ensuring all investors are compensated on a pro-rata basis.

Investors with outstanding balances of GHS 20,000 or less will receive full payments, while others will receive 15% of their outstanding value, up to GHS 750,000 for larger amounts.

Both new and existing investors must update their records to facilitate the redemption process and receive funds through newly created accounts.
