The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) Composite Index saw a 12.73-point rise, closing at 4,542.03 points, bringing its Year-To-Date (YTD) return to 45.10%. The Financial Stock Index also increased by 2.45 points, with a 17.92% YTD return.
Market capitalization grew to GH¢102.07 billion, reflecting a GH¢128.62 million increase from the previous day. However, trading volume and value significantly declined, with only 1,094,439 shares traded (down from 3,422,353) and a 70.23% drop in traded value to GH¢2,492,815.47.
MTN Ghana led in trading volume with 1,025,411 shares valued at GH¢2,358,216.47. Notable gainers included CAL Bank, MTN Ghana, and GOIL, while Gold ETF (GLD) dropped to GH¢443.00.
