‘The whole day was like magic’ – Delta’s annual WING Flight introduces girls to careers in aviation

Delta's annual Women Inspiring the Next Generation (WING) Flight celebrated Girls in Aviation Day by flying 136 girls aged 11-18 to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center.

The event, featuring an all-female crew, aimed to inspire young women to pursue careers in aviation and STEM fields.

Participants engaged with women in traditionally male-dominated aviation roles and attended a "Women in STEM" panel at NASA. The WING Flight, created in 2015, is part of Delta’s efforts to close opportunity gaps for women in aviation and build a more diverse talent pipeline. The event included partnerships with nine STEM-focused schools.
