UAE remains Ghana’s top export destination – GSS reveals

In Q2 2024, the UAE remained Ghana's top export destination, accounting for GH₵15.0 billion (23.3% of total exports), followed by Switzerland (GH₵13.2 billion, 20.5%) and South Africa (GH₵8.3 billion, 12.9%).

Gas oil (GH₵7.3 billion) and motor spirit super (GH₵7.2 billion) dominated imports, making up 24.7% of total imports.

China led Ghana’s imports at GH₵12.3 billion (20.9%), followed by the UAE (GH₵9.1 billion) and the UK (GH₵5.2 billion).

Export prices increased by 40.5% due to rising gold prices, while import prices rose by 18.9%.
