The Ahanta West Municipal Police Command has arrested six individuals linked to the mob killing of 60-year-old Isaac Ansah in Achonwa, Western Region, on June 27, 2024.
The incident occurred after a fetish priest accused Ansah of submitting 14 names for ritual killings.
Already banished for a prior spiritual allegation, Ansah was attacked following an inconclusive town meeting.
Among those arrested are the caretaker chief, assemblyman, fetish priest, chief fisherman, and two others.
Ansah's nephew, Frank Eshun, recounted the gruesome details, expressing the family's grief and demanding justice. Ansah's remains are at the mortuary for autopsy.
