In the ongoing ambulance trial, Major General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, Chief of Defense Staff, and the Military Secretary are set to testify.
They will address prosecution documents stating that Richard Jakpa was dismissed from the military in 2007 for poor performance and failing promotional exams.
Jakpa’s lawyers believe these documents aim to discredit him, as he testified in defense of Minority Leader Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson.
Subpoenas have been issued to compel the military officials' attendance.
Dr. Forson, Jakpa, and the Ministry of Health's Chief face charges of causing a €2.37 million financial loss over a contract for 200 inadequate ambulances.
