The Bawku chieftaincy conflict in Ghana's Upper East Region has intensified, with six more deaths reported over the weekend, bringing the toll to 30 in just 11 days.
Among the casualties, a driver transporting students to Kongo SHS was shot and his vehicle set ablaze near Bawku SHS.
Two businessmen were also killed near Kulungungu, despite a partial military escort.
Additionally, two individuals were killed in Daduri, and a young woman caught in crossfire also lost her life.
The police describe the situation as a full-blown war and urge increased government intervention to restore peace.
