Dr. Jones Opoku, a criminologist at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, has expressed concern over the prevalent trend of Ghanaians resorting to mob justice.

This reaction follows the lynching of artist Wilberforce Appiah, known as 'Wyllbee', in Tanoso, Ashanti Region.

Accused of theft after visiting his girlfriend, Nana Yaa, Wyllbee was attacked and died shortly after.

Nana Yaa's mother-in-law, Abena Asana, recounted the events leading to the lynching, while Wyllbee's family disputes the theft allegations.

Nana Yaa is currently in police custody for further investigation.
