The Akanu Sector Command of the Ghana Immigration Service has seized 54 gallons of fuel, each 25 liters, in Kopeyia, near the Kpoglo Border Post, suspected for smuggling into Togo.
The fuel was found in a Toyota Carina with Togolese registration during routine patrols led by Insp. Ebenezer Asa-Appiah and his team.
The National Petroleum Authority has tested the fuel.
The Immigration Service warns border residents against illegal activities that harm Ghana’s economy and emphasizes increased patrols at borders, stating that offenders will face legal consequences.
