Justice Lydia Osei Marfo has ordered jurors in the Kasoa ritual killing case to forfeit their allowances after one juror was absent during a key hearing.
The trial, involving two teenagers accused of killing an 11-year-old in 2021, had faced delays due to a juror strike, now resolved.
The missing juror was outside the court's jurisdiction, leading to a fine that was later withdrawn after a lawyer's appeal.
The court decided to forfeit the jurors' daily allowance instead.
The case was adjourned to October 24, 2024.
