Eighty -Six year old man has committed suicide at Anlo Town, a suburb of the New Juaben Municipality in the Eastern region.
The deceased hanged himself in his chamber and hall room on Saturday when most Ghanaian were busily trooping to the inaugural ceremony of the then President-elect Nana Akufo Addo.
Speaking to Ultimate News’ Eastern regional Correspondent, Kojo Ansah, the New Juaben Municipal Police Commander, Superintendent Richardson Kumekor narrated that, police received information in the morning that, a man has committed suicide in his room.
He said police personnel and investigators were dispatched to the scene where the deceased, Samuel Sarpong was found hanging at the entrance of his room with electrical cable around his neck.
He said, after taken inventories and other relevant crime scene information, the body of the deceased was conveyed to Regional Hospital at Koforidua for preservation and post-mortem examination.
According to Superintendent Kumekor, preliminary investigations indicates that, the deceased has been troubled by the fact that his Children have neglected him to wallow in hardship.
Meanwhile D/cpl Derrick Kofi Owusu, D/inspector Edwin Tetteh and D/Sgt Alex Donkoh, both investigators have been dispatched to further investigate the incident
