Four masked armed robbers attacked the Agro Ecom Cocoa Depot in Fomena, Ashanti Region, on Thursday evening, escaping with over GHC1 million.
The assailants, wielding AK-47 rifles, also seized mobile phones and fired at the depot manager's vehicle before fleeing.
The incident occurred around 6:20 PM, with the robbers targeting a GMC Terrain 2 vehicle with registration number GS 9576-22.
Police were alerted but arrived after the robbers had escaped into a nearby bush.
Authorities from New Edubiasi and Adansi Fomena have launched a search operation, focusing on neighboring communities to track the suspects.
