Two siblings, Shiraz-Deen Mohammed and Mahama Yakubu, are receiving medical treatment for gunshot wounds sustained during a raid by men in military uniform.
Shiraz-Deen was injured in the head, and Yakubu in the arms.
They were transported to Bole Hospital in the Savannah Region.
Although no official statement has been made, residents believe the military raid aimed to expel illegal miners from the district.
