“Wake up, wake up, O Zion!

Clothe yourself with strength.

Put on your beautiful clothes, O holy city of Jerusalem, for unclean and godless people will enter your gates no longer.” (Isaiah 52:1-6).

God’s mandate for man in the book of beginnings was, be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it (Gen 1:28)

To paraphrase, God meant be productive, grow, expand your territory and BE PROBLEM SOLVERS

All the technological developments we enjoy in the 21st century were in that garden of Eden. There were airplanes, computers, IPhones, hospitals schools etc there, as raw materials and untapped ideas.

But they had to be revealed and uncovered through these principles, as man began to obey God’s command and apply the timeless principle of work (Gen 2:15 & 3:19)

God has called Christians to be problem solvers in our communities. Most of the miracles Jesus worked were in the communities as solutions to problems but not in the temple.

The priest and Levite in the Parable of the Samaritan in the Bible failed woefully by passing by and not showing compassion and leadership and solving a problem. Many Christians see problems in their communities but pass by everyday without any concern.

Are you a minister of the gospel? You have a greater responsibility to be a problem solver and teach your flock to do likewise

The church is only meant to be a fuel station, a place of spiritual renewal and guidance. To some Christians their spirituality ends in their church buildings. They walk out of their church building and behaves like the unbeliever and sometimes worse.

May we be spiritual and not just religious. As a church we fail God and posterity when our spirituality is limited to the four walls of our churches. Awake church and put on your strength

The problems of Africa can not be changed by one person or a government but only collectively as we wake up as individuals.

Realize we can do it as we realize or identity and begin to work towards our goals to solve our problems. No one will come and solve our problems for us.

Change begins with you. Wake up. We can do it by God’s grace. Let us be practical Christians living as Christ did l, solving problems in our communities through compassion.

There are schools & hospitals unbuilt, innovations that will save and impact lives yet uncovered. May we not fail God and posterity
