Commentary: President Mills Can Rest In Perfect Peace

.... Because His Death

Has Opened The Brains Of Rawlings!

It has never been in doubt that His Excellency President John Evans Atta Mills is resting among the saints, and is peacefully in the bosom of the Lord.

Indeed, it has never been in doubt that on the judgment day, and in the next world, President Atta Mills will be Leader par excellence.

It is a matter of public knowledge that for the period that President Atta Mills was President of this dear country of ours, Rawlings never gave him a moment’s rest.

Dawn, morning, noon, and night, Rawlings never lost an opportunity to berate President Atta Mills for not going after Kufuor, Akufo-Addo, Jake and co with cudgels and guns.

Rawlings never stopped heaping scorn and hot coal on the head of President Atta Mills for allowing Kufuor and his looting brigade to get away with their loot.

When it was clear to all that under the current democratic dispensation, it was not going to be possible to tie Kufuor and co to the stakes and shoot them the way Rawlings shot others in the past, Rawlings still did not stop insulting President Atta Mills.

In the very early days of Atta Mills’ Presidency, Rawlings was able to convince foot-soldiers to demonstrate and misbehave all over the country, because, according to Rawlings, President Atta Mills was being “too slow” in dealing drastically with Kufuor and his appointees.

For a fact, even more lettered brains like Ekow Spio Garbrah, fell for the “destroy NPP at all cost” agenda of Rawlings’s, and also went on a binge, calling the learned Professor all kinds of name.

At the height of the agenda of Rawlings, Spio and co, to create mass public disaffection for President Atta Mills, Vice President John Mahama, Mr. Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur and co, they were all referred to as “Team B” players.

Just for the records; Rawlings started hating President Atta Mills because he refused to obey Rawlings’s orders to hit the streets in 2004, to reject the NPP’s victory.

For those who don’t know, Rawlings and his wife began to hate President Atta Mills, when the latter wisely refused to lead scores of NDC followers to hit the streets in 2004 to protest against the thieving manner in which Jake Otanka Obetsebi-Lamptey declared the results for the NPP.

President Atta Mills did not have an inordinate desire to become President and so did not see why he should follow JJ’s instructions and lead innocent NDC supporters to their untimely death.

Interestingly, while JJ was giving that instruction, he and his wife, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings were in Congo, cooling off with Dennis Sassou Ngueso.

Of course, their kids, Ezanetor, Yaa Asantewaa, Amina, and Kimathi, were also living and schooling abroad.

For decades, Rawlings led scores of cadres to come to know the UP tradition and its offspring NPP, for the thieving nation wreckers that they are.

With a deep-seated hatred for the NPP, Rawlings could not stand the fact that President Atta Mills wanted to move away from the “politics of vindictiveness”, and change the face of governance.

President Atta Mills’ cardinal “sin” according to the “gospel” of Rawlings, is the fact that the late President did not spend all his time running after his political opponents.

Ironically, at the time that Rawlings was busy insulting President Atta Mills for not running after Kufuor and co, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings was busy dancing her head off with Kufuor and the NPP.

Indeed, wonders shall never cease!!

Is it not therefore very interesting that after the death of President Atta Mills, Rawlings is now seeing the light and allowing his avowed enemy (evil dwarf Akufo-Addo) to enter his gates?

Is it not shocking that today, JJ Rawlings is prepared to kiss and hug Akufo-Addo?

Is it not surprising that today, JJ Rawlings is ready to see Akufo-Addo become President of Kwame Nkrumah’s Ghana?

Was it not Rawlings who referred to Kufuor as Ataa Ayi? And asked us not to vote for Akufo-Addo because the NPP is full of thieves?

When Rawlings was asking Akufo-Addo not to harass NDC supporters in the unlikely event that he becomes President, was Rawlings listening to himself?

We ask again; was Rawlings listening to himself?

Has Rawlings so soon forgotten that he was insulting President Atta Mills because he was not harassing NPP apparatchiks?

Or, is Rawlings telling us that it is now that he is latching onto the visionary thinking of President Atta Mills?

If so, then we thank God for his Grace and Mercy.

If Rawlings is now seeing the wisdom in what President Atta Mills was doing, then we thank God for opening the eyes of the former fighter pilot.

Indeed, The Informer is of the strong opinion that President Atta Mills’ visionary thinking was light-years ahead of the thinking of Rawlings, and it is only now that former fighter pilot is seeing through the loaded mindset of the law professor and legal luminary.

Inasmuch as we know that under the veiled veneer of claiming to love Akufo-Addo, is the real agenda of Rawlings supporting his wife to destroy the NDC, we are happy Rawlings is now proving to the whole world that President Atta Mills was a visionary Leader.

Many are those, who have always said that Rawlings was jealous of the visionary and far-thinking leadership style of President Atta Mills, and The Informer now associates fully with that line of thinking.

For those of us who are loyalists of President Atta Mills, we will forever be proud of our close association with him, and in his death, we are more proud of him because his bitterest enemy, Jerry John Rawlings, is now seeing the light, and having fun with Jake and Akufo-Addo.

Asomdwehene Professor John Evans Atta Mills; please rest in perfect peace because you have been vindicated by no other person than Jerry John Rawlings, the man who thinks that Ghana belongs to him, and hated you because you wanted to change the face of governance and Build a Better Ghana.

Prof, sleep well, for your legacy will forever stand tall in the eyes of Mother Ghana.

As for JJ Rawlings, we thank God that after the death of President Atta Mills, he now sees wisdom in the fact that we have to move away from the politics of vindictiveness and move the nation along the visionary positive path of His Excellency President John Evans Atta Mills.

Long live the legacy of President Atta Mills; Long live the Better Ghana Agenda; Long live Mother Ghana!!!!
