Excuse Me, Reverend Dr. Prempeh Agyemang

Sat, 16 Jan 2016 Source: Damptey, Daniel Danquah

On Tuesday, January 5, 2016, I listened to the Good Evening, Ghana Programme hosted by Paul Adom Otchere. The Guest was Reverend Dr. Prempeh Agyemang. The discussion was on Prophetic Revelation which was sequel to Rev Owusu Bempah’s prophecy that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has the key to the Flagstaff House. Abeeku Santana featured on the same programme as one of the guests and occasionally, he threw one or two occasional jab here and there to indicate where his allegiance was.

It was quite an interesting programme and we listened with rapt attention to the ‘Revered Man of God’ who appeared to be on top of the subject. But when he was asked who would win the Presidential Election of November 7, 2016, he made some incorrect deductions which if not corrected will plunge the whole of Christendom into disrepute.

His response to the question as to who would win the Presidential Election makes one wonder if indeed our “Seer” indeed saw what he claimed God had shown him. He said that the one who would win the Presidential Election is the person who has a very special relationship with God. He also added that most of the Flag-bearers have been consulting Beelzebub.

The two emphatic statements from our “revered Man of God” made me cast doubts on the prophecy he claimed God had shown him. In fact Rev Dr. Prempeh Agyemang introduced a new aspect of controversy into the already controversial subject as to who would win the Election. Just hold on for a moment and you will understand the point I am trying to make.

When he was told that Reverend Owusu Bempah (whom he claimed to be his God Father on spiritual matters) had prophesized that Nana Akufo Addo has the key to the Flagstaff House, he said with emphasis that that was not what the Lord showed him.

Pressed further, he committed another prophetic blunder. He said current President John Dramani Mahama is far ahead in terms of who has a special relationship with God. In effect what Rev. Dr. Prempeh Agyemang is telling Ghanaians and the entire world is that John Dramani Mahama will win the November 7, 2016 Presidential Election.

Well, that is his opinion and he is entitled to it. You and I were not there and so cannot question him on what he claims he has seen at the spiritual level. But he could have saved us the trouble of keeping us in suspense by telling us straightaway that John Mahama would win.

My grouse with Rev. Dr Prempeh Agyemang was his attempt to label almost all the Presidential Aspirants (with the exception of his favourite, John Mahama) as people who consult the devil or Beelzebub. Minus John Dramani Mahama, the elected Flag bearers are Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo (NPP), Edward Mahama (PNC). The other likely aspirants are Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings (NDP), Paa Kwesi Nduom (PPP), Abu Sakara (Independent), Samia Nkrumah (CPP), Bright Akwetey (CPP) and a few others.

Can he look Ghanaians or any of the aspirants mentioned above which of them is/are those consulting Beelzebub? Did the Lord actually show him which of them is not on His (the Lord’s side)? Is he telling us that per his intuition, he Rev Prempeh Agyemang knows those flag bearers whose relationship with God is far above the others?

Reverend Owusu Bempah’s prediction that “Nana has the key but ….” has not much ambiguity about it. He has told us what the Lord told or showed him in a dream or trance. You may choose to believe him or not. That is left to the individual,

But that of Reverend Dr. Prempeh Agyemang is something ooo. His method of “Gerry mandering” in other to confuse the people is what baffles me. What happened at Metro TV on that Tuesday was if the whole thing was being stage-managed with Abeeku Santana chipping in one remark or the other when it favoured his party, the NDC.

For the Man of God to say most (not one, not two, but many of them) do consult Beelzebub was in a bad taste. Such a reckless statement was not expected from a “revered Man of God”. With that Prophetic fiat, he has opened the door to speculations. Many will now begin to rationalize in their minds why so and so candidate fits the description of those who consults Beelzebub. Why should a so-called Man of God indulge himself in such controversy? Some prophets would have been bold to tell us in black and white which of the aspirants consult Beelzebub or the devil. If God revealed to him which of the flag bearers he is pleased with, why did he not show him (Prempeh Agyemang) those who have made Beelzebub their god?

With that prophetic fiat from him, he has desecrated the priesthood institution and the sooner he comes out to apologize to the nation, the better it will be for his dented image and person.

I crave reader’s indulgence to give me the opportunity to debunk Reverend Prempeh assertion that Mahama’s relationship with the Living God is far above any of the Presidential Aspirant. I do so with every fibre of energy in me. That statement is incorrect and blasphemous.

Has Rev Dr. Prempeh Agyemang bothered to read or find out the antecedents of the man he is touting to be God sent to Ghanaians. Please, wait a minute and I will tell you. What does Reverend Prempeh Agyemang have to say to the invitation of the Vice President of the Gay Movement to the launching of his book “My First Coup d’état”? And the gay man made the largest donation at the launch! And this, our Reverend Dr. says he has done good things in the eyes of the Living God who shall judge all of us on the day of judgment!

Again, Rev. Dr. Prempeh Agyemang deliberately chose to ignore the appointment of a gay activist into the President’s Cabinet. If he had, I do not think he would have made such a blasphemous statement that he made on that Tuesday. This gay activist, Nana Oye Lithur relegated Ghanaian cultural practices into the background by stating that gays have special rights which are guaranteed by the constitution.

Are these two examples given enough to debunk our Revered Man of God assertion that of all the aspirants, President John Dramani Mahama is the one whom God is very pleased with? They are affront to the tenets of Christianity and Islam which have the largest following in the country.

Which kind of Bible is Reverend Prempeh Agyemang using? Is there anywhere in the Bible where God has sanctioned homosexuality? Has he forgotten so soon why God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah in the Holy Bible? Remember that in Genesis 19 when God sent two men to see things for themselves about the wickedness and adulatory of Sodom and Gomorrah, the men of the twin cities refused the two daughters of Lot and rather ordered Lot to release the two men who had taken refuge in his house so that they could sleep with the two. In Leviticus 18:22, God says “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind. It is abomination”. Numerous examples abound in the Holy Bible where God condemns homosexuality.

If animals will not mate with members of the same sex, why should human beings who are supposed to be more intelligent degrade themselves by indulging in such abnormal and unholy practices? If for pittance, Rev. Dr. Prempeh Agyemang will sell his soul to the devil and make such unprophetic pronouncement as he did on that Tuesday, then I am sorry for him. If he had read his Bible the way a Christian should read the Bible, I do not think he would make such a big slip.

He should take a cue from the Right Reverend Professor Emmanuel Martey, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana who has been vociferous in his condemnation of homosexuality and lesbianism and even told the Presbyterian Church of the US to go to hell with the stinking money. Here is a Church leader worth his sauce.

Let me repeat for the avoidance of all doubts that President Mahama’s relationship with his maker is far from being perfect. I therefore reject Reverend Prempeh Agyemang’s pronouncement that John Dramani Mahama is favoured by God to win the Presidential Elections on November 7, 2016.

I urge all Christians to read their Bibles and ask for the gift of discernment in order to know the true prophets of God from the fake ones. God is not mocked, for whatever a man soweth that will he reap. Again, God is not the author of confusion.

From what I have known of Reverend Doctor Prempeh Agyemang through his appearance on Metro Television on Tuesday, 5th January, 2016, I can say with all certainty that his relationship with his Creator is far from being perfect. He therefore does not stand on any solid ground to make any meaningful pronouncement/prediction about the future.

Rev. Dr. Prempeh Agyemang ability to see into the future ended many years ago.
