Good morning, fellow countrymen. I have come to reconfirm my unfaltering confidence in the capability of Kwabena Frimpong Boateng for being the best candidate to be voted for the President of the Republic of Ghana. There should be no "ifs" and "buts", if Ghanaians really aspire and ever dream of seeing light at the end of our frightful penurious or parsimonious tunnel in which we are windingly groping. Before proceeding any further, let me ask you a few mind-boggling questions, the correct answers to which will help pave the way for the honest assimilation of my message, leading to the required reaction of firstly, the NPP delegates, and secondly, the entire electorates come December 22, 2007 and the year 2008 respectively.

1) Is Ghana a poor country with any hope of ever extricating herself from poverty?


2) Is the poverty in Ghana the major contributing factor of the persistent "brain drain" now hopelessly turned around and termed "brain gain" for unsubstantiated reasons to sprinkle dust into people's eyes?


3) How meaningfully can Ghana emerge from the cocooned poverty in which she is deeply embedded; the shameful results of her sons and daughters' lamentable actions and inactions?


4) Does the effective solution of ever getting out of the poverty in which Mother Ghana is breathlessly mired lie in trotting the world in eighty days with bowl in hand soliciting alms?


5) Do Ghanaians feel comfortable and safe relying permanently on "donors' contributions" when national yearly budgets are drawn? What are the repercussions on the economy and the people if the forecasted donor contributions, which are non-binding promises, fail to materialize?

6) Does the Ghanaian dream of ever living in comfortability or parity with the contemporary Whites achievable by simply carrying ourselves about myopically nonchalant and corruptive as it is presently the case?


7) Can the maximum exploration, exploitation and usage of our natural endowments hold the key to our successful extrication from the shackles of poverty wound around us?


8) Does the Ghanaian work ethics need changing for the better to boost up productivity at work places? If yes, how is it achievable?


9) Can an honest, dynamic, a disciplinarian, a farsighted, incorruptible, Charismatic person with an exemplary leadership quality make a difference in Ghana's quest for middle income (newly developed) country status?


10) Do we believe Ghana can ever be clothed in riches, if yes, how? And who can help bring it about?

To proceed any further, let me attempt to stabilise wobbling minds by answering question no. 10. I personally have no qualms about Ghana becoming prosperous, affecting the lives of the ordinary citizens in the street in a positive note, but not without a pre-condition. It is a prerequisite of every Ghanaian to go through ethical transformation and reformation of character. Until our attributed negativities, degrading self-inflicted attitudes change, Ghana will be mired rather in retrogression than stagnation. The only person capable of introducing, implementing and supervising to ensure a successful attainment of prosperity for Ghana in less than no time will be a dedicated, honest, farsighted person with the intelligence and know-how, ready to be of service to Ghana and Ghanaians. A person of such plausible qualities currently among the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirants is Professor Kwabena Frimpong Boateng.


A brief life story about Kwabena goes as following. He is a Germany trained renowned heart surgeon who after rendering a number of years reciprocal service to the host country, decided upon the needs of his country of birth, to return home to continue with his service to humanity. He left behind a luxurious living, a much better salary, respectfully mutual relationship with his colleagues, to take up everything less in quality and quantity in Ghana, all in the resolutely determined pursuit of being of selfless service to his country and fellow Ghanaian citizens. Kwabena's vision in this right direction speaks volumes if whoever cares will visit Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, the country's premier hospital in Accra, to enquire about his achievements. How he has saved the country money, eliminating underhand procurement deals, dubious intermediary procurement personnel and agencies involving the hospital, is glaring in the public domain for any probing mind and "doubting Thomases" to conduct their own self-satisfying investigation.


Kwabena Frimpong Boateng's vision for Ghana is exemplary. Some still question why should he bother becoming the President of Ghana before thinking to be of absolute service to his people and Ghana? They advise that he should continue to pursue his medical services where he has chalked accolades as that is equally of being of service to the sick and wailing Mother Ghana. Excellent! Much as I agree with those of this school of thought, but to a very limited extent, I divergently in increasing exponents, disagree with them. My reason being, the most powerful person in a country vested with executive powers, in this case the President of the Republic of Ghana, can achieve more for the country and the people provided he/she is a farsighted statesman/stateswoman with good practical intentions than simply holding on to a departmental executive post. It is hard for a farsighted engineer or Medical doctor to persuade a non-visionary president who is living in his own little peculiar ideal world to carry out projects or innovate and implement policies of far reaching positive consequences. This is the more reason why the person who knows what it takes to deliver Ghana from her ails to bring back the blotted out smiles to our face is voted the President of Ghana in the first place. And Kwabena Frimpong Boateng is the right man.


If Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in his days was not farsighted personally, seeing from the way he was vehemently opposed by his political rivals whenever he initiated any project, Ghana would not have had even the current limping over-aged Akosombo dam, the near almost source of electricity generation in Ghana. The recent past electricity problem taught us a bitter lesson. If without the Akosombo dam, but with the recent ever rocketing petroleum prices, on which leg would Ghana stand in relation to our socio-economic needs? This is all my argument for needing the right person himself/herself to be in the driving seat but not as the "driver's mate" or a passenger, ready to offer assistance when the vehicle is veering off the road due to the erratic driving by the driver. Africa in general and Ghana in particular, needs to cut waste in the first place by choosing the right persons with the right "accoutrement" to be their leaders. Professor Kwabena Frimpong Boateng is the recommended person in this case. He has all it takes to catapult Ghana into the limelight. Those shuffling, playing tribal cards, should desist from such sinistrously unhelpful attitudes. Ghana requires of us to choose the best person irrespective of their political party affiliations, tribal inclinations, or how long they have been in a particular political party, etc. to render stewardship to her and to Ghanaians. Frimpong is no doubt the man. But can Ghanaians figure this out?


I am appealing to all interested, serious and honest NPP delegates to vote for Kwabena Frimpong Boateng as their presidential candidate for the year 2008, all in the interest of the prosperity of Ghana and Ghanaians. Please do not be fascinated with the sheer volume of bribe, should there be any, to vote for the wrong candidate. Do not sell your conscience for money. Let the welfare of the future generation be your concern and priority when casting your vote to elect your presidential candidate and president. Let you be judged positively, but not negatively, by posterity.

The White people have not the least respect for us because of the corrupt attitudes of our leaders and the inaction of the poor suffering masses to stand up squarely to them. Many a time have our leaders embezzled money, even borrowed money; and siphoned them out of the country into their foreign off-shore accounts. For how long can that be allowed to continue, fellow Ghanaians? It is about time the right person, in the person of Kwabena was chosen to put a stop to the disgrace Ghanaians and Africans are earning overseas.


I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Successful New Year with Kwabena Frimpong Boateng being elected to represent NPP at their delegate conference on 22 December 2007, and proceeding to become the President of Ghana.


It is my fervent prayer that the Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent God the Father touches the hearts of all Ghanaians to enable us behave more responsibly from now on. AMEN.
