Malformed Opinions About Nana Addo

- The Mind Of His Detractors

In life there are many things that are not to our taste and our liking. There are many things that we would like to be different and work differently. However these things are beyond our control. We may dislike our job, our boss, habits of our friends or spouse. But it is better that we accept things the way they are and move on in life.

However the danger is that we quickly form opinions and make judgments on others and our state of affairs. The issue is that we tend to put ourselves into mental traps of our own making. We tend to base our actions and decisions on malformed opinions in our mind.

This is the issue confronting the NDC and those within the NPP having "Malformed Opinions" about Nana Addo in their mind that has developed or evolved into hatred.

The mind is goal seeking and tries to substantiate our own false ideas and ill-formed judgments. The mind tends to distort reality in order to substantiate our biases. We are led deeper and deeper into erroneous thinking.

There are wild allegations all over about Akufo Addo, being violent, instigator, spiteful, divisive, etc., nevertheless in all these, no evidence has been produced to substantiate or give credence to all the numerous issues raised. There can be none because a virtuous person cannot be part vice.

In fact, they can end up deceiving themselves completely in the web of thoughts which are based on completely wrong ideas. It is imperative that we identify the error in our thinking and remove any pre-conceived notions we may have about things.

We should not let our mind drag us into the quicksand of hatred, contempt or jealousy based on biases that we have in our mind. We should rise above pettiness in life and move ahead in life. We really need to understand the workings of our mind and be able to overcome emotions of anger, envy, contempt and excessive desire.

What differentiate Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo from his political foes stems from his ability to withstand all kinds of persecution with serenity and his ability not to wade into public outrageous issues, responding only when it is appropriate.

Most people fail to realize and accept that, the evils that manifest themselves in all the conspiracy theories have never had it better.

Being able to transcend our own pettiness in life is one of the most difficult things in life. While we may be capable of thinking lofty thoughts, if we drop our guard we can be very quickly deceived by our minds. I think the point to be understood is that we're all different.

I have never been a fan of theories of propaganda drama. I did not enlist into or ever associated with this propaganda drama school, even though my parents were hardcore CPP activists.

I was never put through a training that was limited by someone saying, this is the way you should act. It would have been an aberration on my person and of mindset. I would have rebelled because propagandists are intolerable and a disgusting odor to facts, reality and truth.

If, we are able to recognize that we need to be mentally alert all the time and channelize our mental energies into creative and problem solving activities then we are truly on the road to real wisdom in and of leadership.

We can then say at this point our mental energies system has become more coherent and it is further extended. The elements which we require for explaining a new class of facts are already contained in our mental system. Whilst in malformed opinions or false theories, the contrary is the case.

In ending those blinded by searing hatred must adjust their thinking about Akufo Addo.

Truth does not need argument, agreement, theories or beliefs. There is only one test for it and that is to ask yourself, is the statement true or false in my experience?

There are just a few radicals who push these things. I think we need to get back to the basics and leave the speculation and malformed opinions alone.
