Meet Oswell Cole, the President of AIESEC in Central University, Team Leader for Unilever Brand Ambassadors on Central University Campuses and an upcoming Entrepreneur in the travel sector. The 24-year-old is making large impacts across the country and putting Ghana on the map.

Working with AIESEC since October 2014, he has served different roles from Members Development Manager, Vice President Marketing & Communication and now the President since June 2016. Also working as the Conference Experience Manager for AIESEC in the United Kingdom, where he organizes the best conference for the entity. AIESEC is an International, not for profit, educational and completely youth-run Organization. It has been in existence since 1948 and is currently in more than 128 countries of the world. AIESEC facilitates and promotes cultural understanding and develop socially responsible proactive agents of change with a view to making a positive impact in the world through Global Leader (membership) and the International Exchange Programs.

Sincee January 2016, he has also been working as a Unilever Brand Ambassador since where he has promoted their youth interactive programs; such as the Unilever Africa Idea Trophy (which he is semi-finalist for this year’s edition) and drawn the company closer to the youth.

His strong passion for youth development has caused him to start the Jump Start Your Career, an initiative he runs with AIESEC and Unilever on university campuses so that students and youth would know about the opportunities these two organizations offer and how they can benefit from it.

The first edition was hosted on the Central University Miotso campus in March 2017. They seek to visit all the major universities in Ghana.

His love for young people to develop themselves spans beyond AIESEC and Unilever. Its spans just being ready for the job market. It about the self-discovery. The point where you know who you are, what you stand for and make it a point to start something on your own without settling for less. The point where you push all buttons till you make it, without faking it.

Mr. Cole’s love for self-discovery, youth development and the SDGs landed him an interview with one of the region’s most popular magazine, HR Revolution Middle East, where he shared his view on the same topic.

Recently returned from Côté D'ivoire after representing AIESEC Ghana at the 2017 West African Connecting Seminar in Abidjan to come up with strategies that will build the stronger AIESEC for West Africa.

As a young entrepreneur he seeks to touch as many youth as possible to discover themselves and start business that solves world problems instead of competing with others.
