In bringing the year 2010 to an end, President Mills declare the coming year 2011 as his ‘action year’. “2011 is the year in which Ghanaians will see the physical manifestations of the ‘Better Ghana’ agenda. It will be the year when Ghanaians will see the government making judicious use of the country’s resources, especially in the area of infrastructural development, to have meaning in the lives of the citizenry. Actual constructions will start taking place all over the country.” This was said on Thursday, 2nd December, 2010.
In the process of his tour in some regions in Ghana to commission ‘projects’, the president cut the sod for work to start on the Volta University of Health and Lies Sciences at Sokode in the Ho Municipality and the University of Energy and Natural Propaganda Resources in the Brong Ahafo region. Immediately after the declaration, the president’s Director of Communications, Koku Anyidoho, took time on radio to do his job. He painted to the admiration of all, a clearer picture of the action year. Mr. Koku Anyidoho categorically said among other things that the action year universities would admit their first batch of students in September for the 2011/2012 academic year.
In his explanations, Anyidoho said “there will be construction of more major roads, massive construction in the housing industry, more classroom blocks, construction of railway lines, the start of the Brong Ahafo and Volta universities and the rehabilitation of Tema and Takoradi ports, amongst others.” He said “the action year will provide massive job opportunities for the citizenry and the government will not be distracted by the NPP’s doubt about its ability to deliver.” Very characteristic of him, Koku added that “you will see for yourselves that President Atta Mills is not a man of cheap political talk; he is a man of his words.”
In fact, on 9th February, Koku said on radio that “the president is engaging in all these not to score cheap political points. Anyidoho said, “As I speak to you, I know for a fact that there is money available…there is funds available for work to commence immediately. I can assure you that it’s going to take another two months before you see the first block coming up”. The two ‘Months’ and the ‘August’ promised never came.
More actions by Prez Mills into the Volta University of Integrated Lies have helped to enrol many Squirrels, Mice and Grass-cutters graduating from this prestigious University. The University of Energy and Natural Propaganda Resources located in the Brong Ahafo region has also only seen the Tree Dormitories hosting birds, termites and Snakes.
In all, the only Senior Lecturer who has done extremely well at the University of Natural Propaganda Resources is the Dean at the faculty of Propaganda and Integrated Insults – Dr. Baba Jihad Jamal. Dr Jamal managed to enrol more journalists and Information Service Department staff in August 2011 to pursue short intensive course in theory of Sheep = Cow & Black = Yellow.
The graduates have been skillfully trained and were emboldened to be ready to discard stories that would portray the Mills’ gov’t in a bad light and rather concentrate on the positive sides only. Dr Baba Jamal, who is on record to have promised a better package for the journalists should they propagate the agenda of the government to enable it win the 2012 elections, said “all that government required from the selected journalists was to kill every story which would not be in the supreme interest of the government”.
The latest theory introduced again at the department of Lies, Propaganda and integrated Insults in September 2011 by the Senior Lecturer Dr. Baba Jihad Jamal at the University of Energy and Natural Propaganda Resources located in the Brong Ahafo is the “Prof Mills’ Magical Prowess and Miracle Performance where flood water recedes within 24-hrs when you pray.
I perfectly agree with the well meaning Ghanaians who have nominated Prof Mills as the Rector of Volta University of Propaganda Resources And Integrated Lies.
