NDC will not be hindered by the absence of its founder in its Campaign

"The men who have changed the universe have never gotten there by working on leaders, but rather moving the masses. Working on leaders is the method of intrigue and only leads to secondary results. Working on the masses, however, is the stroke of genius that changes the face of the world.” --- Napoleon Bonaparte, 1769-1821

So far, as our president, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama assured us recently, our campaign is going on well, with the worm and overwhelming reception the president and his powerful campaign team attract, as they criss-cross the nook and corners of the country. Undoubtedly, the Better Ghana Agenda in our Manifesto, which is in the implementation process, begins to resonate and resound in the Ghanaian electorate.

Since former president Rawlings, as our founder has recommended and endorsed His Excellency, President Mahama on several occasions, we will urge our members not to depend on president Rawlings much in our campaign, because he has already indicated that, he will not play any major role in the campaign, as he used to do. But we should rather carry on his endorsement message to the electorate and publicize the enviable achievements made so far in our Better Ghana Agenda Manifesto.

One could easily sample public opinion to determine which political party’ s message has gone down well within the Ghanaian electorate, by observing the various comments of readers of articles written by (NDC & NPP) both parties over the internet. And so far, the pendulum of the political supports swings more on the side of the NDC, as we are currently leading in all the polls conducted.

And when you consider the comments of the youthful segment of the population on the social media especially, facebook, majority of the respondents

despise the NPP policies, and make negative comments against them and even many of those who voted for them during the last elections are willing to vote for the NDC, come December 7th, 2012.

Above all, this is the first time, that we observe a presidential candidate in Ghana, attracting so many support of Ghanaians, who are forming various groups to campaign for him. President Mahama is the only candidate with campaign groups such as; Youth for Mahama, Zongos for Mahama, Girls Girls for Mahama, Women for Mahama, Friends of Mahama, Mahama Fan Club for 2012 etc.

Even some traditional leaders and predominant entertainment and sports celebrities in Ghana could not hide their love and affection to this charming president, they came all out to endorse and declared their unflinching support to His Excellency President Mahama. And this is a great advantage to us the NDC, because those celebrities could easily influence their admirers to vote for us, as it happens in America with President Barrack Obama. It is glaring that, the Better Ghana Agenda policies that have been implemented by the late president Mills and still being implemented by His Excellency President Mahama is one of the of the reasons that will make the electorate retain us into power.

The NDC and its presidential candidate encounter myriad of challenges, such as character assassination, casting of insinuations, and unfounded allegations from its main opponent, the NPP. No wonder it(NPP) has been declared the worst party that utilizes indecent language on the airwaves, leading by a whopping 13 out of 17 cases released recently by the Media Foundation for West Africa. However, the president by virtue of his traits of peace and tolerance, always advise his communications and campaign team and the rank and file of his party, the NDC not to reciprocate the insults by the NPP in the same manner, but adopt the intelligent approach in their rebuttals to the NPP. This is because he drive inspiration from Khalid Gibran, a prolific Arab author, who wrote in his book, Sand & Foam(1929) that, “I have learned silence from the talkative, toleration from the intolerant and kindness from the unkind…”

And it is obvious that, the magnanimity and nobility of the president, in spite of the constant castigation and criticism that he is always subjected to, is one of the contributory factors that is making his popularity soaring and surging exponentially.

Presidents Mahama’s charm and charisma is in addition, pulling mammoth and massive crowd to him and the NDC, and this is why we urge our party kith and kin, not to be perturbed by the fact that our founder, former president Rawlings will not mount the platform to campaign for us, after all he has already envision and envisage our victory. We only have to redouble our effort, hit the ground running and be proactive in our door to door campaign to make this victory that we are optimistic of an overwhelming one.

So we urge all the electorate and the undecided voters not to vote for the NPP’s Nana Akofu Addo, who wants to be president at all cost, with his false promises and even if it results into bloody war, as he mentioned and was re-echoed by some of his cronies, but should vote for president Mahama of the NDC, who is a peaceful and development-oriented person like his predecessor, late president Mills.
