RE: Nana-Addo Is Proudly “Un-Ghanaian”

Sun, 10 Mar 2013 Source: Sidibe, Abdul

Of Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe Stupid Lies and Conjecture.

Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe, the dumb! dumb!!, is at it again. Normally, his writing will not elicit a response from any serious mind. Okoampa-Ahoofe is a well known ethnocentric fascist even by a cursory observer of his writing on Ghana. He is the Dr. Goebbels of Ghana politics, so responding to him is usually a futile exercise. But this time we can not resist, but respond to the ranting because he touched on a subject that boarders on the integrity of our electoral system using, as he usually does, his ridiculously insidious logic.

Okoampa-Ahoofe wrote an article published on Ghanaweb page of March 8th, 2013 , titled Nana-Addo Is Proudly “Un-Ghanaian”. Of cause we all know Nana-Addo is un-Ghanaian. Twice he had his name on the ballot for president of the country, and twice the people of Ghana in their collective wisdom said no!!!.

Nana-Addo is the only presidential candidate in Ghana’s 56 year history to have lost elections twice and on both counts refuse to accept the result of the election. Twice he tried to be the George Bush of Ghana politics; he want Judges of the Supreme Court, and not the electorate, to make him president. Nana Akuffo Addo is used to legal gerrymandering. In 2008, he successful gerrymandered his party’s rules and laws to elect him presidential candidate even though he failed to garner the 50 percent plus one votes required to secure the nomination.

In fact he is out of Ghanaian cultural ethos of humbleness, righteousness, and humility. No right minded citizen of Ghana would call for the death of his fellow citizens for his political purpose. No presidential candidate in Ghana’s history had sought to divide the country along ethnic lines in order to win an election. No candidate in Ghanaian history have had his supporters beat up and humiliate journalist. Nana-Addo’s actions are against the intentions of the Ghanaian people who voted massively in 1992 to approve the constitution whose articles clearly state that the people, and not the courts, choose the presidents of Ghana.

So yes, for the first in his life Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe is right, Nana is proudly and unapologetically un-Ghanaian. Except that Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe sought to suggest that Nana-Addo won the last election because Mr. Rawlings and Dr. Papa Kwasi Ndom allegedly believed it to be so. Mr. Rawlings, despite the fracas with the NDC, was on the record that Mahama, not Nana-Addo, won the election. He said so when the AU delegation visited his private residence soon after the elections and on countless other occasions. Rawlings has since been trying to built bridges with his former political students with some success.

As for Dr. Papa Kwasi Ndom, he expressed his misgivings about the electoral process publicly, but was not on the record that Nana Addo had won. At least not that we have heard or read until Okuampa-Ahoofe’s conjecture.

How Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe was able to read in to the believes of people despite their public statements is beyond our imagination and we are sure of any human specie’s. Except of course if you have Okoampa-Ahoofe’s neanderthal brains, then you can write article and make claim that others had said something without actually quoting them, infer in to other’s believes and present them as facts, and write bylines with a Phd defining who are. How stupid!!

Assuming without admitting that Mr. Rawlings and Dr. Ndom actually said what Okoampa-Ahoofe alleged, does it in anyways validate the claim that Nana-Addo won the Dec. 2012 presidential election as alleged by Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe? Your guess is as good as mine.

Let’s teach Okoampa-Ahoofe some street logic here. Mr. Rawlings, who Okoampa-Ahoofe said believed Nana Akufo Addo won the election also believed his wife would win the NDC primary. Nana Konadu Rawlings lost the NDC primary by a whooping 97 percent. If Rawlings’s belief is Okoampa-Ahoofe’s leading indicator of election result in Ghana, then he has a whole lot to learn.

For Mr. Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe’s information, the result of elections in Ghana are collected and declared at polling centres across the country, and not in Mr Rawlings’s and Dr. Ndom’s bedrooms. And if Okoampa-Ahoofe cared to search, he would have found that some Ghanaian’s domiciled abroad are allowed to vote under current law. They include members of the armed forces serving on foreign missions abroad, members of the Ghanaian Diplomatic Corp, and people out of the country for state missions and activities. The number of people registered and have voted as such could be obtained if requested from the commission. Yet, the intellectual baffoon failed or is oblivious to that.

Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe is a typical example of acamedic baffoonery. Good academics elevate their degree and their institutions by their work. The mere mention of their names in a faulty attract students in droves to enroll, so they can benefit from the academic’s wisdom. Kwame Okoampa, on other hand is a complete reversal of academic virtues. He is elevated by the mere fact that he has a Phd, hence the use of the accolade on his bylines anytime he publishes his amalgamation of nonsense on Ghanaweb.

He stupidly thinks that by merely stating his academic qualifications on his bylines, he could somehow obscure the ridiculous nature of his argument. He seem to confuse language writing with good arguments.

English is a language that could be used to publish very informative and though provoking articles. It could also be used to publish clearly written nonsense, as Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe has amply demonstrated in his numerous clownish articles that he very often dumps on Ghanaweb.
