The New Patriotic Party (NPP) General Secretary Nana Ohene Ntow is currently doing what a general secretary of a party should be doing. He is taking strong initiatives to monitor the national delegate’s conference, which is coming on December 22nd 2007. The general secretary has acknowledged that the best preparation for tomorrow is to do today’s work superbly well for his party to be able to choose the right candidate for the 2008 general elections. Recently the vice president Aliue Mahama campaign manager Amoako Tufuor, who made tribalistic comments, shows you how these impudents are trying to destroy the UP traditions. If Aliu Mahama loses the nomination he should not blame anyone but himself. His so-called unintelligent Dr. who does not posses any common sense has created his political downfall.
Aliu and his campaign manager should realize that the UP tradition was not built on Ashanti sentiments nor on any other ethnic sentiments but has rather been corrective of all ethnic groups in Ghana that came together to form a unity party against Kwame Nkrumah’s communist ideology. The triumph cannot be had without the struggle, which the UP tradition for 30 years as opposition has overcome. Aliu Mahama and his campaign manager cannot create any division within the current UP traditions for their stupid egocentric political interest. As Booker T Washington, the civil right leader, says, “Nothing worth having ever comes except as the result of hard work”. All the NPP presidential Aspirants have worked hard for their various campaigns to prove the love they have for their party and the nation they wanted to serve. The hour of NPP picking their party’s nominee is here for them to choose one among the 17 candidates only one person will be nominated to lead their party for the third time for a UP tradition party to rule the nation. I urge all the delegates to pick a man who has the national vision to lead the country and that person is John Alan Kwadwo Kyevemanteng. The former Minister of Foreign Affairs Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has shown his true colors and his temprementeral nature by physically attacking the Hon. Stephen Asamoah Boateng, the Minister of Tourism and Diaspora Relations, in parliamentary cafeteria in parliament on December 4th, 2007. According to the eyewitness information Akufo Addo was restrained by some members of parliament who were at the cafeteria and security officers from the physical attack Asamoah Boteng for being Alan’s supporter who can physically destroy Akufo Addo. This shows all Ghanaians who want to lead the country that Akufo Addo is not the right candidate. Ghanaians need a different kind of person to lead our motherland. Ghanaians need some one who understands a non-violent method of diplomacy, some one like Alan kyeremateng who will use his head before his hands. If NPP delegates go on to elect Akufo Addo, in the general election, his opponent will have a new zeal to critizes his character, which will doom the NPP chance of retaining power. The future belongs to those who prepare for it today, Akufo Addo has already prepared his future in parliament building by fighting to get power which will never happen in Ghana. Stay tuned for more details of Akuto Addos attack in parliament.
