The nebulous voices from the NDC stable must shut up,

Sat, 13 Aug 2016 Source: Damptey, Daniel Danquah

I have read and listened with utter consternation the barking and insinuations emanating from the Nefarious Destructive Cancer with the sole aim of maligning the impeccable Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, Flag-bearer of the Nnipa Pa Party and our “Decisive President in Waiting”.

These effusions and ranting have come from Koku Anyidoho, Asiedu Nketiah, Kofi Adams, Kwadwo Twum Boafo and many others. I have waited patiently for weeks and months for these disgruntled political neophytes to purge themselves of the contempt which they have enmeshed themselves in, but like the stiff necked Pharaohs and Egyptians that they are, they have blatantly refused to do so.

Therefore, I, Citizen Daniel Danquah Damptey, Self Appointed Special Aide to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo have taken the gauntlet to give a fitting response to these yesterday men who are swimming in the ocean of forgetfulness and to tell them to shut up for enough is enough. These praise singers and acolytes of the President have one thing in common and it is their penchant to denigrate the name of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo at any opportunity that comes their way. But one thing they seem to forget is that the Flag bearer of the NPP is now the bride to woo by all political activists in the country. He is the person all Ghanaians, both at home and abroad are yearning for to take the mantle of leadership which is now in the state of comatose.

Today, I prefer to take up Koku Anyidoho, the person who became a “ghost worker” at the Castle after the untimely demise of late President, Professor John Evans Atta Mills.

Koku starts his tirade against Nana with “Government isn’t about trial and error as Nana is preaching”. Foul, you are wrong here, Koku! It is rather President Mahama who is preaching and practicing “trial and error. How many times has the President told Ghanaians that he will fix the dumsor problem, and how many times has he reneged on that promise? Countless number of times! A few years ago he blamed God for being responsible for the dumsor we are experiencing. Yesterday he put the blame on the restive youth from the Niger Delta region of Nigeria for disrupting the pipe lines transmitting oil and gas to Ghana. This has been refuted by the Gas Company supplying gas to the country. Tomorrow, it will be you and I. “Simple gas self, Mr. President no fit give us” One NDC foot soldier was heard muttering to no one in particular. So tell me who is preaching and practicing “trial and error”? President Mahama!

A major diplomatic exploit chalked by Nana Akufo Addo occurred when he chaired the UN Security Council meetings which deliberated on the Arab Israeli conflict at a time when both parties were on the brink of war. Nana’s magic was brought to the core when he managed to bring the two warring factions to sheathe their swords. The meeting ended with both parties patting each other at the back. This is an uncontestable fact which was given wide publicity all over the world. If Nana could achieve such feat as Foreign Minister what is it that he cannot he do when he assumes the Presidency of this great country?

Koku went on to say that Ghana needs a leader who would act like a President and not a ruler who will rule with iron fist. I doubt if Koku Anyidoho knows what he is talking about. He is as confused as Kwadwo Twum Boafo who is alleged to have slept with his step mother while the father was still alive. And in his confused state, he, attempt to drag all of us into the quicksand. He tells us that leaders understand democratic process and would distance themselves from anything bad around them while rulers wouldn’t. He ended by describing the word “rule” as scary when linked to politics.

Is Koku suggesting that the President should “reign” instead of “rule”? A President should be seen to be ruling instead of reining and there are numerous checks and balances to ensure the President doesn’t act ultra vires.

I understand Koku Anyidoho’s predicament because of where he and people of the same mindset are coming from. He wants to take us back to the era of late President Mills who became incapacitated due to ill health. That enabled people like Koku Anyidoho to take the laws into their hands and nearly plunged the nation down the precipice. It was the likes of Koku Anyidoho who ill advised late President Mills into placing the country’s Armed Forces on red alert on account of an innocuous remark made by the leader of the largest opposition party in the country.

We have not forgotten what happened during the impasse between Mahama Ayariga and Koku Anyidoho as to who was the official spokes person at the Castle. Because Late President Mills was reigning and not ruling, a loop hole was created and that allowed he, Koku Anyidoho to demote Mahama Ayariga and make himself Koku Anyidoho the official Spoke person ant the presidency.

Is this what Ghanaian want? No, we no longer want a “Baba Go Slow” and “Fumbling and Wobbling” President at the Flagstaff House. Isn’t time such a notion sunk into the mind of Koku Anyidoho, if he did not know.

If anything, Koku should be the last person to call Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo names. If President Mahama were not to be ruling as a dictator, there was no way Koku could have had his name on the payroll of workers at the Presidency. Koku’s name was conspicuously missing when the list of staff working at the Presidency was sent to the Accountant General’s Department.

And listen to the pot calling the kettle black. “The ruling concept is what Nana Addo is displaying in the NPP. If he doesn’t like you, he flushes you out. Afoko, Kwabena Agyapong, Sammy Crabbe and Nyaho Tamakloe have all suffered because of the way he rules”.

And how does Nana rule? I wonder why all of a sudden, Koku and his think likes have abandoned the “Dzi wo fie asem” (Eat your house matter) mantra of their Nefarious Contraption to comment on matters which do not affect them. He, Koku and his destructive elements are deficient on matters that affect our party. They should not attempt to be outsiders who weep more than the bereaved.. One thing they seem to forget is that the NPP comprises matured and intelligent people who are not easily manipulated into acting against their conscience. Nana did not force anybody to take action against anybody. The NPP is not like the NDC where people enter with all their faculties intact but leave with most of them unbalanced. Yes, that’s the difference between our Nnipa Pa Party and Koku’s NDC.

These nebulous voices emanating from the stables of the NDC are peeved because with the sacking of Paul Afoko and others their ONLY source of information has dried up. They were sacked for engaging in anti=party activities. Nana Addo did not instigate anybody to initiate action against them. Now Nyaho Tamakloe is singing a different tune because he claims he has some sort of relationship with President Mahama. He can go on and sing like a parrot for all we care. Ogbamey and Haruna Atta have joined the campaign train of the NDC because they have been given some juicy portfolios. Randy Abbey says the President is his friend and so will not speak against the party. Haruna Mahama has joined the NDC and is enjoying “noko fio” Have we complained? No!

But the sins of Paul Afoko are too numerous to mention. No political party worth its sauce would tolerate such behavior. The party Disciplinary Committee recommended their suspensions and this was ratified by the NEC. What is wrong with that? If Koku and others have forgotten, I would like to remind them that Mr. Kwabena Agyapong who was included on his list of those who have suffered under the so=called Nana’s rule has now seen the light. He has refused to testify for Paul Afoko in his writ against the party. Fate or Destiny is once more on the side of the New Patriotic Party and shame to Koku Anyidoho and his disgruntled elements!

What Koku Anyidoho and President Mahama should tell Ghanaians is how former President Professor John Evans Atta Mills died. This is a mind-bogging question whose answer Ghanaians deserve to know. To Koku Anyidoho, it appears human memory is very short and the changing fortunes in history move in circles. Have they forgotten Sly Akakpovie, late Secretary of the NDC in Ashanti Region? They hounded him from the party and the man died wretched. His sins? He had attended a rally of another political party!

What about the man who wanted to contest President Mills for the NDC Presidential slot? All the party Executives declared him to be mentally ill even though there was no medical report from any doctor or hospital certifying him to be such. Tried as he did the man could not get any form to enable him file his nomination. Recently, they concocted a story about the poor man engaged in one form of crime and got the Police to arrest him. What has the President who is the recipient of all these ‘largesse’ said about it/

I may be failing in my duty if I don’t let listeners know what a core member of the NDC said about His Excellency, John Dramani Mahama. He is no other person than Emmanuel Della Coffie. Now you listen to him well and good.

“How many times are we going to allow ourselves to be victimized by the unbridled folly and reckless remarks of our experimental politicians” John Mahama and many who think like him have conveniently forgotten the machinery that won them their elections. Politics is a very interesting phenomenon. It avails all manner of people with an opportunity to flaunt their peccadilloes on the unsuspecting public. For me, John Mahama is a phony little fake who preyed on the gullibility of the uninitiated to propel himself into the ranks of .those that must be listened to. In terms of substance, he is considered a non0starter.Why do Ghanaians tolerate the morally obnoxious, and justify their eccentricity. As a citizen, I lament deeply over the bad choices we have made by electing some human-caricatures to positions of trust”
