Sixteen young herbal doctors were inducted into the Traditional Medicine Practice Council in Accra, allowing them to offer traditional herbal medicine legally.
The ceremony on October 30, 2024, featured Deputy Health Minister Alexandar Kwesi Acquah, who emphasized the government's commitment to integrating herbal medicine into the National Health Insurance Scheme and mainstream healthcare.
He urged the inductees to bridge traditional and modern practices.
Dr. Michael Kyeremanteng, the Council's Registrar, stressed the need for supportive policies to enhance the integration of herbal medicine into healthcare systems.
