The Eastern Regional Health Directorate of the Ghana Health Service has confirmed two additional Dengue Fever cases, bringing the total to 11.
The outbreak, initially reported in three districts, has now spread to five: Birim Central, Birim North, Akyemansa, Birim South, and Achiase.
The Regional Director, Dr. Winfred Ofosu, noted the likelihood of more cases, with results pending for 57 samples.
Currently, 103 suspected cases are under management.
Dr. Ofosu assured the public of the Ghana Health Service's preparedness and urged residents to seek medical attention if symptomatic.
