An outbreak of Dengue fever in Ghana's Central Region has prompted a health alert.
The Ghana Health Service is working to contain the disease, which spreads through Aedes mosquito bites during the day.
Dr. Franklin Asiedu Bekoe emphasized the importance of early detection and protective measures.
Eastern Region has recorded 11 cases, with over 100 samples tested. Efforts include covering mining pits to prevent mosquito breeding.
