The U.S. has donated a 60-bed mobile field hospital, worth GHC 78 million ($5 million), to the Ghana Armed Forces.

The hospital includes an ICU, two operating rooms, x-ray, lab, morgue, and emergency room, and can be quickly set up in remote areas.

U.S. Ambassador Virginia Palmer highlighted the close U.S.-Ghana security partnership, noting the hospital’s role in providing critical medical care for both military and civilians.

This donation follows previous U.S. support, including a 30-bed field hospital and an urgent care facility, boosting Ghana’s healthcare capacity.
