Godfred Yeboah Dame is a Ghanaian lawyer and politician and a member of the New Patriotic Party. He was Ghana's former deputy Attorney General and Minister of Justice.
He was born on 5 June 1979 in Ghana. He attended the Adisadel College in Cape Coast, Central Region from 1989 to 1996 for his senior high school education. He obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) in 2001 from the University of Ghana, proceeded to the Ghana Law School, and got called to the bar in 2001.
Before venturing into politics, he was a private legal practitioner.
Godfred Dame was appointed as Deputy Attorney General and Deputy Minister of Justice by President Akufo-Addo in March 2017. He retained his position in the December 2020 general elections and was promoted to the office of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, replacing Gloria Akuffo.
Dame is married to Dr. Joycelyn Akosua Assimeng Dame, a pediatric infectious disease specialist with two children.
