The 2016 general election was riddled with fraud, former Ambassador to the UK and Ireland, Victor Smith has said.
According to him, Ghanaians accepted the fraudulent results because of peace.
The former Ambassador and astute politician was speaking on the Wednesday edition of Anopa Nkoma on Kingdom FM 107.7 in Accra and hosted by Kwame Tutu.
He is, therefore, urging Ghanaians to decide genuinely who should lead the country in the 2020 election adding that he does not believe the 2016 election results was a true reflection.
‘The 2016 election was fraudulent but Ghanaians accepted it for the sake of peace.’
Ambassador Victor Smith hurriedly condemned the New Patriotic Party government for failing in infrastructural development saying banks keep collapsing and others having their monies locked up in the banks.
Comparing the Mahama administration and that of Nana Akufo Addo, the National Democratic bigwig chastised the Nana Addo led government for performing abysmally.
