Eric Opoku, MP for Asunafo South, has announced that over 9,000 jobs will be created at Ghana's ports under NDC flagbearer John Mahama's new 24-hour economy strategy.
This initiative aims to boost employment, reduce congestion, and enhance port efficiency.
Speaking on NDC360, Opoku emphasized the plan's potential to cut shipping delays and improve logistics.
Sammy Gyamfi, NDC Communications Officer, highlighted that the round-the-clock system will also apply to passport services, creating more jobs and eliminating long waits and early queues.
The 24-hour strategy is seen as a transformative move for the nation’s economy.
