President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has inaugurated the 120-bed Fomena Hospital in the Adansi North District of the Ashanti Region, concluding a project that began in 2014 but faced delays due to funding issues.
At the ceremony, President Akufo-Addo highlighted the hospital's completion as proof of the government's dedication to modern healthcare.
He noted that similar projects had been completed in Kumawu, Fomena, and Takoradi, and reassured that more will be finished by year-end.
These efforts, he said, are part of the government's goal to achieve universal health coverage and improve healthcare efficiency for all Ghanaians.
