Alexander Afenyo-Markin, the new Board Chair of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), has highlighted the need to tackle the ongoing challenges faced by the power distributor.
Speaking after his formal inauguration by outgoing Energy Minister Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Afenyo-Markin acknowledged the government's notable progress in improving electricity provision but stressed that further efforts are needed.
He pledged to pursue thoughtful reforms and innovations to enhance the ECG's operations and services.
His appointment by President Akufo-Addo aims to bolster the ECG's capacity to meet the country's growing energy demands.
