The Chairman of Parliament’s Assurance Committee, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has expressed disappointment with Housing Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah’s approach during a committee session.
Ablakwa criticized the Minister's handling of relief efforts for those displaced by the Akosombo Dam spillage, describing the government's response as inadequate and lacking urgency.
During a heated exchange, Ablakwa emphasized that a year has passed since the disaster, yet many victims still live in tents.
He plans to bring the issue to Parliament for further debate, calling for a more effective response from the government.
