Dr. Arthur Kobina Kennedy, a physician, author, and politician, has expressed surprise and disappointment in how President Akufo-Addo has run his administration.
Speaking on JoyNews AM Show, Dr. Kennedy recalled how Akufo-Addo, before becoming president, criticized the constitution for granting excessive power to the Executive.
He believed that as a candidate, Akufo-Addo represented a promising change for Ghana.
However, Dr. Kennedy now finds it difficult to reconcile the president's earlier stance with his current governance, noting that Akufo-Addo has abused the very power he once criticized.
He expressed sadness over the president's failure to uphold constitutional principles and protect the nation's interests.
