The Parliamentary Assurance Committee has resolved a heated clash between its Chairman, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, and the Minister for Works and Housing, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, over delays in completing housing units for Akosombo Dam spillage victims.
The disagreement began when Ablakwa demanded an apology from Nkrumah for referring to his role as a “bully pulpit,” which Ablakwa found inappropriate.
Despite initial tension, committee member Andrew Dari Chiwitey explained that the issue stemmed from communication challenges and was quickly resolved after a brief break. The committee then resumed its work.
