Parliament has been adjourned indefinitely following heated disputes between the NPP and NDC over which party holds the Majority.
Speaker Alban Bagbin announced the decision on October 22, citing the absence of enough MPs to make decisions. He also mentioned a Supreme Court directive that paused his earlier ruling declaring four parliamentary seats vacant, but he didn’t share details.
The affected seats include two NPP, one NDC, and one independent.
Earlier, NPP MPs walked out of the Chamber, causing a lack of quorum and adding to the political tension.
